Looking back at the humble 250 square foot beginning 2 decades ago is gratifying. Especially when one considers the one-acre Byculla complex which JAK printers now calls home. Sparked by passion and a dream to establish a never-seen-before printing press, Khushru P. Patel and Aspi M. Forbes sold their mothers' jewellery and a lone bike to establish their little endeavor. It was a testing time of their patience, commitment and inner strength.

From printing innovative personal stationery as samples, to creating beautiful writing pads, and tiny slip books to sell, their setbacks rolled into motion with clients trusting and recognizing their merit. From working on machines, to printing, binding, and finally delivering the final product, they saw through each job personally. While Khushru ran the letterpress machine at night, Aspi managed things during the day.

As they slowly started expanding and building a strong expertise, state of the art machinery and a dedicated team, they moved up from the single 250 sq. feet gala into four galas measuring a total of 2700sq feet. 2003 was a turning point with the purchase of the current one-acre property, divided into dedicated departments and specialities. It is from here that the name JAK grew in proportion as well as reputation. Making every moment more than its worth.
